PCA DISTINCTIONS


1. GENERAL CONDITIONS
1.1. In order to honour eminent personalities known in the field of photography, the International
PCA  has created the following distinctions:
• for photographic artists known for their artistic work:
• for those who, by their work or their achievements, have contributed to the progress of PCA:
1.2. The proposal for PCA distinctions is submitted independently by the author who has achieved the necessary conditions for obtaining PCA distinctions.
APCA  - Artist PCA
EPCA  -  Excellence PCA
EPCA/b - Excellence PCA/bronze
EPCA/s - Excellence PCA/silver
EPCA/g - Excellence PCA/gold
EPCA/d - Excellence PCA/diamond

1.3. For those who, by their work or their achievements, have contributed to the progress of PCA:
HonPCA - Honorary Excellence PCA

1.4. No discrimination is made between the candidates, amateur or professional photographers alike. No age limit is imposed.

1.5. The final decision PCA.
1.6. All PCA distinctions are awarded for life. Holders of a distinction are allowed to append after
their names the initials corresponding to the distinction. The application of these rules is valid from the date of publication of these rules, namely: June 01. 2024.
1.7. Holder of PCA distinction(s) commits a serious offence against PCA can be withdrawn by the PCA. No appeal is allowed.

 

2. THE APCA DISTINCTION
2.1. The distinction "Artist PCA" (APCA) is the first artistic distinction that can be obtained. It is
awarded to photographic artists for artistic qualities,
have been acknowledged through their participation in international salons under PCA Patronage.
2.2. The candidate for this distinction must:
a) Have taken part with success in international salons under PCA Patronage
b) Have taken part with success in at least 4 international salons under PCA Patronage in at least 2 different countries.
c) Have obtained at least 30 acceptances with at least 10 different works in international salons under PCA Patronage.
2.3. Candidates for APCA distinction must submit
a) A complete application using forms prescribed by PCA
b)Upon award of APCA DISTINCTIONS, the PCA will send a printed APCA DISTINCTIONS document as well as a PDF document. PCA will also mail a PCA badge with APCA DISTINCTIONS to the address

 

3. THE EPCA DISTINCTION
3.1. The distinction " Excellence PCA" (EPCA) is the first artistic distinction that can be obtained. It is
awarded to photographic artists for artistic qualities,
have been acknowledged through their participation in international salons under PCA Patronage.
3.2. The candidate for this distinction must:
a) Have taken part with success in international salons under PCA Patronage
b) Have taken part with success in at least 6 international salons under PCA Patronage in at least 3 different countries.
c) Have obtained at least 50 acceptances with at least 15 different works in international salons under PCA Patronage.
3.3. Candidates for EPCA distinction must submit:
a) A complete application using forms prescribed by PCA
b)Upon award of EPCA DISTINCTIONS, the PCA will send a printed EPCA DISTINCTIONS document as well as a PDF document. PCA will also mail a PCA badge with EPCA DISTINCTIONS to the address

 

4. THE EPCA/b DISTINCTION
4.1. The distinction " Excellence PCA/b" (EPCA/b) is the first artistic distinction that can be obtained. It is
awarded to photographic artists for artistic qualities,
have been acknowledged through their participation in international salons under PCA Patronage.
4.2. The candidate for this distinction must:
a) Have taken part with success in international salons under PCA Patronage
b) Have taken part with success in at least 6 international salons under PCA Patronage in at least 3 different countries.
c) Have obtained at least 50 acceptances with at least 15 different works in international salons under PCA Patronage. Received 5 awards at the gold medal level.
4.3. Candidates for EPCA/b distinction must submit:
a) A complete application using forms prescribed by PCA
b) Upon award of EPCA/b DISTINCTIONS, the PCA will send a printed EPCA/b DISTINCTIONS document as well as a PDF document. PCA will also mail a PCA badge with EPCA/b DISTINCTIONS to the address.
d) On the PCA platform, an exhibition of the author's works with 10 photos.

 

5. THE EPCA/s DISTINCTION
5.1. The distinction " Excellence PCA/s" (EPCA/s) is the first artistic distinction that can be obtained. It is
awarded to photographic artists for artistic qualities,
have been acknowledged through their participation in international salons under PCA Patronage.
5.2. The candidate for this distinction must:
a) Have taken part with success in international salons under PCA Patronage
b) Have taken part with success in at least 6 international salons under PCA Patronage in at least 3 different countries.
c) Have obtained at least 60 acceptances with at least 15 different works in international salons under PCA Patronage. Received 10 awards at the gold medal level.
5.3. Candidates for EPCA/s distinction must submit:
a) A complete application using forms prescribed by PCA
b) Upon award of EPCA/s DISTINCTIONS, the PCA will send a printed EPCA/s DISTINCTIONS document as well as a PDF document. PCA will also mail a PCA badge with EPCA/s DISTINCTIONS to the address.
d) On the PCA platform, an exhibition of the author's works with 15 photos.

 

6. THE EPCA/g DISTINCTION
6.1. The distinction " Excellence PCA/g" (EPCA/g) is the first artistic distinction that can be obtained. It is
awarded to photographic artists for artistic qualities,
have been acknowledged through their participation in international salons under PCA Patronage.
6.2. The candidate for this distinction must:
a) Have taken part with success in international salons under PCA Patronage
b) Have taken part with success in at least 8 international salons under PCA Patronage in at least 3 different countries.
c) Have obtained at least 70 acceptances with at least 15 different works in international salons under PCA Patronage. Received 15 awards at the gold medal level.
6.3. Candidates for EPCA/g distinction must submit:
a) A complete application using forms prescribed by PCA
b) Upon award of EPCA/g DISTINCTIONS, the PCA will send a printed EPCA/g DISTINCTIONS document as well as a PDF document. PCA will also mail a PCA badge with EPCA/g DISTINCTIONS to the address.
c) On the PCA platform, an exhibition of the author's works with 25 photos.
d) In the PCA PHOTO GALLERY, an exhibition of the author's photographs with a PDF and printed catalog in 50 copies.

 

7. THE EPCA/d DISTINCTION
7.1. The distinction " Excellence PCA/diamond" (EPCA/d) is the first artistic distinction that can be obtained. It is
awarded to photographic artists for artistic qualities,
have been acknowledged through their participation in international salons under PCA Patronage.
7.2. The candidate for this distinction must:
a) Have taken part with success in international salons under PCA Patronage
b) Have taken part with success in at least 12 international salons under PCA Patronage in at least 3 different countries.
c) Have obtained at least 80 acceptances with at least 15 different works in international salons under PCA Patronage. Received 25 awards at the gold medal level.
7.3. Candidates for EPCA/d distinction must submit:
a) A complete application using forms prescribed by PCA
b) Upon award of EPCA/d DISTINCTIONS, the PCA will send a printed EPCA/d DISTINCTIONS document as well as a PDF document. PCA will also mail a PCA badge with EPCA/d DISTINCTIONS to the address.
c) On the PCA platform, an exhibition of the author's works with 40 photos.
d) In the PCA PHOTO GALLERY, an exhibition of the author's photographs with a PDF and printed catalog in 50 copies.
e) In the organization of PCA, a trip to a photo shoot by agreement with the author, with paid travel by plane and accommodation expenses of the author of the EPCA/d winner

8. All rules are made independently by the PCA patronage and are responsible for awarding all PCA DISTINCTIONS.
After the submitted request by email: pca.exhibition@gmail.com on the prescribed form, PCA patronage will, after checking the accuracy of the submitted data, award PCA DISTINCTIONS within a maximum of 30 days.
PCA DISTINCTIONS are awarded in the order provided in this regulation.
 APCA is awarded first followed by PCA DISTINCTIONS in the given ovder.
